Our Beliefs

The message in our faith community is that
God loves you and cares about you!

As Lutherans, we believe in God’s gracious gift of salvation as it is offered to us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each time we gather together for worship God comes to us in his Word and Sacraments. Through his Word God loves, comforts, challenges, teaches, and empowers us for life as his people in the world. In the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion he gives us concrete experiences of the forgiveness and hope that is ours through faith in Jesus Christ.

At the heart of our congregation’s life is worship. That is how most people first experience us, and that is how we grow into a community of faith, week by week. We begin with the experience of God’s undeserved, indiscriminate, abundant love for each one of us. Everyone is welcome! But we don’t end there. Worship strengthens us for a life of service to God and to our neighbors, and we are called by God to care for one another. We gather to learn about God’s powerful Word, grow together in God’s grace, and spread the Good News about Jesus Christ. We strive to reach out with his love and presence wherever we go and whatever we do.

Our faith is strengthened as we participate in worship and learning and service in our congregation. We believe that as our faith is strengthened, we share a powerful sense of hope, peace and joy: gifts from God that deepen and enrich our lives.
