High School Ministry:
Faithful Youth, Inc. (F.Y.I.)

Gathering as a group helps teenagers
deepen their understanding of
how God is working in their lives
and develop strong Christian
friendships that will last a lifetime.

High School Youth Group
FYI is our high school youth group. All high school students are welcome, whether or not they are members. Students come from all different high schools in the Lake Country area, which enhances their weekly gatherings together.

Weekly Gatherings - Mondays 6:30 pm
After a long day at school, most students could use some time to vent, celebrate, reflect and relax. FYI meets Mondays during the school year and most weeks in the summer for Bible study, Christian fellowship and decompression. It’s a chance to check in and refocus on the important things in life. Anyone in high school is welcome!  Join us and bring a friend!

Events
Our youth group is driven by what the students want to do. We see movies, plan lock-ins, go camping and lead worship services. We also help out with many church events, such as the children’s Easter Egg Hunt and the Ash Wednesday Spaghetti Dinner. One of the group’s all-time favorite events occurs in the spring: the Formal Dinner. Officially, the dinner is a fundraiser for our annual summer mission trip … but it’s so much more than that. With the help of parents and other adults, we transform the church into a special themed experience, and prepare a decadent meal, which we then serve to members of our congregation. The night is a wonderful bonding experience, which gets the youth group ready for the summer mission trip.

Summer Mission Trips
The YouthWorks mission trip is the highlight of the year for our teenagers and has changed many of their lives. Each year the destination changes, but the focus remains the same: to form strong relationships with each other while doing God’s work in a community that may need our assistance.
