Music is a significant and powerful part of worship. It can inspire people and help make worship a more meaningful worship experience. At Church of the Resurrection, you can lend your vocal and instrumental talents to lifting up God’s Word and inspiring others in worship. If you play an instrument or sing, we want to invite you to get involved and offer your talents to one or more of Church of the Resurrection’s music groups.
Thursday Rehearsals
Adults and high school students gather to prepare musical pieces for worship.
*Resurrection Ringers Handbell Choir (9th grade – adult) Rehearse 5:30 – 6:15 pm. Play once a month in worship. We use four octaves of handbells and chimes.
*Sanctuary Choir (9th Grade and up) Rehearses 6:30 -7:30 pm. This vocal ensemble participates in many aspects of leading and enhancing our worship experience.
Children’s Choirs
All are welcome, regardless of musical background.
*Sunday School Choir (3 yrs. – 5th grade) Rehearses during Sunday worship, sings once a month in worship services.
*Joyful Praise Handbell Choir (4th – 8th grade) Rehearses Sundays at 5 pm. We use four octaves of handbells and chimes and play once a month in worship services.
Praise Band
Praise Band leads worship on the 4th Sunday of each month. We encourage anyone in the congregation with a special musical talent and skill— whether vocal or instrumental — to share their gift with us during worship. We also look for opportunities to incorporate instrumental music into our already established groups to enhance our worship experience and expand our worship styles.
