About Us

All Are Welcome

We are a vibrant, multi-generational community of believers who encourage and empower each other to live Christ-centered lives. We embrace anyone who wants to follow Jesus Christ. As a Reconciling in Christ Congregation, we are accepting of all who wish to find a spiritual home with us.

Sharing God’s Love

God’s love is shared through worship, music and fellowship. We learn what it means to follow Christ through Sunday School, Confirmation, Youth Ministry, and Bible study.

Serving Our Community

We continually seek to do God’s work and will – in our congregation, community, and world. Our outreach programs, service projects and support for missions  are local, national and international.

Our History

In May of 1981, a community of believers in the Hartland area came together to form Church of the Resurrection. They began worshiping in Lakeside School gymnasium on North Shore Road, and moved into a permanent facility at the corner of Maple Avenue and North Shore Drive in Hartland. Our congregation grew by leaps and bounds, and in August of 1999 we sold our building in anticipation of moving into a larger facility. Over the next year, we met in a variety of locations across Hartland, and in 2000, we moved into our current location at W287 N3700 North Shore Drive in Pewaukee. God has richly blessed us, and we seek to be God’s blessings to those near and far.

ELCA Synod

We are a member of the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a group of 131 congregations in southeastern Wisconsin. The ELCA is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations. It is a church that is deeply rooted in scripture, Lutheran theology and Lutheran confessions, yet is continually seeking new ways to share the word of Christ. The ELCA invites anyone to become a member, regardless of age, race, gender, life experience, complexities and questions.
